I have over 4 years of Data Analysis and Data manipulations experience. I continue to evolve and enhance my understanding of technologies in order to make my work more efficient and accurate. Coding has been my long term passion ever since my first line of code in VBA, to Automate the mundane Excel tasks and reports. Subsequently, I have moved on to Python and JavaScript. This website is a showcase of my comprehensive technical skills. My goal is to provide in-depth tutorials and share my experience as to how I accumulated these skills for anyone interested in a similar field.

Tutorials

This site was initially created to keep all of my code snippets in an organised manner where I could access them anywhere if I needed a reminder. Most of these tutorials are designed to be as simple and easy to read as possible. Nonetheless, for some topics this may not be the case, and if that is so I recommend you to re-read them and research the topics for more background information. You are expected to have Python and any other language involved in the tutorial installed to utilise these tutorials.

Projects

We will walk through some of the projects that are open source and I can share on the web the topics of Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Data Visualisation and dashboards for the web. These would combine most of the topics from the tutorial snippets and how they are used for real projects end-to-end. These include preprocessing the data and creating data pipelines before any modelling. The biggest chunk of the modelling process is data preprocessing and data cleansing to make the data compatible to your required algorithms. Of course, not all algorithms behave the same way, so the preprocessing steps vary depending on the algorithm we are working with.

Why Data?

As a data analyst, my job is to answer difficult questions, in the form of a story and envision this through the art of data visualisation. I am able to visualise and intuitively understand data in order to make ground-breaking decisions, as well as enhancing business and being able to take risks in an affordable environment. Regardless of which field the business operates in, there are, invariably, patterns and distributions in the data you possess and the key in understanding the distinct issues is identifying and solving these patterns.
